Shelly, shelly, shelly....rule #1 of podcasting, podcasters don't chage their content based on the pleas of the audience. If you want to be one of the cool kids, you need to get cable and HBO just like the rest of us. If you wish not to, that's fine but you can't ask people not to talk about a show that you are waiting for on dvd. Come on now, I love ya but that's a steak with crazy sauce on it. I don't talk about the show on my show because frankly, it's too adult for my PG rated show. Sopranos is a great show and there's rumors that Itunes will be selling the new season as the shows become available. So there's still hope for ya.

Dearest Aaron, don’t you know that trying to get me to be like everyone else pretty much guarantees I’ll do the opposite? Ask anyone who knows me. I’m a pain in the butt like that.

I don't seriously expect ANY podcaster to change his or her show to accommodate my extreme use of the tape delay. The bit began as an observation that lots and lots and LOTS of podcasters like to talk about TV. It’s surprising to me that so many do this, and it’s not my cup of tea, but it’s also not something that would cause me to quit a show I otherwise liked. Cuz then I wouldn’t have anything to listen to!

So I thought I would poke a little fun at myself by acknowledging that I'm not immune from the joys of a great TV show, and that my own choice not to get cabled up, or even to get the outside antenna replaced, has put me in this fix!

PS.
I have seven seasons of The Simpsons on DVD. Remember that one with the three-eyed fish? Maybe that’ll come up on the next show.

To be fair, I should say that some time ago I got an e-mail from Mike asking for my thoughts on accessibility. I gave them to him, and he thanked me. I think his interest was serious. My beef is with Adam talking about things that may or not happen, and being pretty lazy and/or clueless about the substance.
